Mahdi at the Colosseum

Rome, Italy 🏛️

About Me(behind all those projects and the education)

I'm Mahdi, from Tabriz, Iran, where I grew up and spent most of my life. I moved to Italy for my Master's and then to Copenhagen for a semester, and somewhere along all of that I got genuinely curious about the world in a way I don't think I would have sitting in one place.

I played the clarinet for eight years in different orchestras. That part of my life is quieter now, but music is still very much present. I listen a lot, I think about it, and it still does something to me that most other things don't. It's hard to explain if you haven't been in a room full of people playing together.

When I'm not working, I read poetry and literature, I play video games, and whenever I get the chance I travel. Not to tick places off a list, but because I find it genuinely hard to fully understand how someone thinks without spending time where they live. History interests me for the same reason.

I don't think of myself as a fixed set of things. I'm always picking up new ideas, changing my mind, and finding new things to care about. That's probably the part I enjoy most.
